Vacation in Salzburg book!
In the middle of the old town

BE PART OF THE CITY
House number 48, located directly in Linzer Gasse and therefore in the heart of Salzburg, was first mentioned in a document in 1361. The building served as the home of a “Chlampfenschmied”, as at that time there was a quarry directly behind today’s Hotel Krone. The year 1512 is particularly significant because one of the seven fountains in Salzburg’s old town was built in the building next door at this time. Until the hotel opened in 1920, the historic building served as a home and workshop for various craftsmen. The street sign you see on the outside of the Hotel Krone dates back to this time!
ARRIVE, UNPACK AND OFF YOU GO
If you visit Salzburg, you should also visit the home of Andreas Felleis and Patrick Knittelfelder.
The two successful hoteliers have dedicated themselves wholeheartedly to the hotel and catering industry. Every single one of their establishments reflects this passion.
Three restaurants and coffee houses await you in the city of Salzburg, where you will receive a bonus at reception as a guest of Hotel Krone. In addition to the culinary hotspots, the two hoteliers also run four hotels. At felleis-knittelfelder.at you are sure to find the perfect vacation destination for your next vacation!
THE HOTEL THEN AND NOW
In the 1950s, the facilities at the Hotel Krone were still quite basic: there were no bathrooms and breakfast was taken in the rooms. In 1962, the Egger family acquired the hotel in Salzburg, extended the building and built a breakfast room and terrace. In 2001, Mr. Günther Hausknost took over the hotel and ran it with his team for 11 years. Now we, Andreas Felleis and Patrick Knittelfelder, run this traditional hotel and look forward to welcoming you as our guests in the heart of Salzburg.
